Intermediate General English, is aimed at students who can grasp the main ideas of clear, standard English on familiar subjects and handle most situations while traveling in English-speaking environments. Students can also write straightforward, connected texts on familiar topics and talk about their experiences and goals.

5 weeks tuition + 2 weeks break + 5 weeks tuition = 12 weeks
Prior to enrolment, all prospective students are required to complete a compulsory Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital (LLND) assessment. This assessment is completed as part of the pre-enrolment process through the LLND Portal – http://myllnd.com/login/
The LLND assessment helps identify whether a student may need additional support during their studies and ensures they are placed in a course that is appropriate for their skill level. Assessments are aligned with the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) and include language, literacy, numeracy and digital skills.
Students must complete their LLND assessment via the LLND Portal before they can be formally enrolled. Further instructions on how to access and complete the assessment will be provided to prospective students as part of the pre-enrolment process.
All students must complete an English Placement Test before commencement of study
English language proficiency requirement, ELICOS & exemptions [1]
In order to demonstrate English language proficiency, a prospective student must provide evidence to the Pivot Education. The evidence can be but is not limited to, a test score, licence and/or certificate from an approved English language test.
Examples of approved English language tests are IELTS, TOEFL, IELCA, Cambridge, OET, and PTE.

International students who fail to meet the English language requirements for this course may alternatively enrol in an English Language Intensive Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS) for at least 10 weeks (if they obtain a minimum test score of 5.5) or at least 20 weeks (if they obtain a minimum score of 5.0) with the college.
English exemption rule
Students do not need to give the evidence of an English test score with their visa application if one of the following applies:
[1] The college additional entry requirements for international students is required by the College in order to ensure that a student has sufficient English skills to complete their qualification.
[2] The test will not be applicable for all students. For example, students who are from a country that use English as their first language will not be required to take the placement test.
[3] Substantially complete means a student who complete at least 75% of the required UoC.
